Monterey Bodykit. The Monterey kit is as wide as the Original Fortek but was designed by us, and so has larger contact patches than the fortek, thus making it somewhat easier to fit. The inspiration for the design came from Alan Stones Golf Gti Powered Mini featured in Mini Magazine. Since his car was a van with a saloon round back end, and an extended front end, some re-designing was necessary in order to get it to fit and look right on the Mini, the essential essence of the design remains. This is a blended kit and is fitted in the same way as the Fortek, by bonding, and filling. The ducts in the rear arches are supplied blank but can easily be cut out, and have grills or mesh fitted. The original car had no rear bumper so we supply our Majic Wide one with all Monterey’s. Custom Parts Limited is the only manufacturer for the Monterey kit. The kit is rated as experienced fit only, although it is somewhat easier than the fortek which has the same rating. This is our second-best selling kit. Its aggressive box arch styling always attracts a lot of attention, and this kit has been used for demonstrators regularly.
